So, how does this all work?
For the uninitiated, beginning the process of designing and building a WordPress website can seem like a daunting task. Rest assured it is so much easier than it sounds and I am here for you every step of the way. I work one-on-one with my clients walking you step-by-step through the process of building & managing a website you will LOVE – without the techno-speak.
Phase 1: Planning + Strategy
At the start of the project we will take a close, detailed look at what you want to achieve with your website. We will evaluate your wants, needs and goals in order to design a strategy specifically tailored to your desired outcomes.
During this phase of the process you will be asked to provide detailed information about your business goals, the content you would like to present and your customer base. Knowing what content your customers want and need and how best to deliver that information to them is the hallmark of a successful website design.
Phase 2: Design + Visual Presentation
Using the information gleaned from our Planning + Strategy sessions I will design the core visual presentation of your site. This is where details such as color, typography and page layout come into play.
You’ll be able to review a Home page and a standard body page at which point you will offer input on any desired revisions. During this process we will work together until you feel confident that the design is the perfect digital introduction for your clients.
Phase 3: Development
Once the look and feel of your website is established, it’s time to start the development process. This is where the various graphical and functional elements are combined and made into a living, breathing website.
During this time you should plan to be available for periodic consultation.
Phase 4: Delivery
When the development work is finished you’ll be able to review a live version of your website. At this point everything should look, feel and function just as we discussed during the planning and design phases.
At this time you will review a live version of the website to test out the design and functionality firsthand. Once you give final approval your site will be migrated to your server.
